What is Hospice?
We are founded on the belief that our approach to hospice has an enormous impact on those we serve. There is no greater honor than assisting our patients and their families on this end of life journey. Our collaborative approach to hospice services enables our patients and their families to focus on the most important thing: quality of life. The Careline Hospice team works together with our patients along with their support network and care providers to provide a customized plan to meet their specific needs.
Our Careline mission is: To Serve Together, Provide Value and Deliver Exceptional Care. We provide quality care anywhere our patients reside. The hospice team, led by a dedicated RN case manager and overseen by a physician, helps our patients and their family make informed decisions about care choices and options. We take the time to understand their goals and strive to reach them.
We believe Hospice:
- Affirms life
- Recognizes dying as a process, so we provide comfort rather than a cure
- Neither hastens nor postpones death
- Provides physical, emotional and spiritual care to terminally ill patients and their families
- Helps a terminally ill patient maintain quality of life and helps their family members through an extremely stressful time in their lives, even after a patient’s death
Who Pays for Hospice?
Care is 100% covered by Medicare / Medicaid and most third-party insurance beneficiaries with no out of pocket expense to you. Our team will work with you and your physician to assess eligibility, allowing you and your family to think less about finances and more about quality of life.
What is Covered by Hospice Care?
Your benefit covers, without cost to you:
- Necessary medical equipment
- Medications related to terminal diagnosis
- Skilled Nurses
- Certified Nurse Assistants
- Spiritual Counseling
